1. Common automotive lamps and their functions

1. Common car lights are roughly divided into two major categories and four sub-categories.

The two major categories are divided by function, namely lighting and signals. The four subcategories are divided into interior lighting, exterior lighting, interior signal lights, and exterior signal lights based on the location of the lights.

See Figure 1 for details:

Next, let’s take a look at the distribution of these lights on family cars:

Let’s take a look at what the lamps look like: I mainly show you the headlights and taillights, as follows:

2. The functions of lamps with different functions

The functions of lamps are roughly described as follows:
Many people think that rear fog lamps and reversing lamps are only one of a kind, but this is not the case. The regulations regarding the number of lamps installed in automobiles are detailed in the following table:
2. Basic requirements for combination headlights

1. Light distribution requirements for lamps

The light distribution of lamps is a vehicle active safety requirement and is controlled by national mandatory standards and must be followed.
High beam, low beam, and steering are completed by light distribution design, while front position lights do not need to strictly consider their light distribution design due to their relatively wide requirements.
The following aspects affect the turn signal light distribution performance:
Problems when using lighting fixtures:

Lighting fixtures need to ensure a stable light pattern when in use and cannot jump when the vehicle is driving.
If the light pattern jumps, it means that the reflector bowl (or lens) is not fastened or the light bulb is loose. The main factor causing the reflective bowl to not be fastened is the lamp housing.
2. Introduction to exhaust structure

Take another look at the professional exhaust structure design plan to avoid the problem of water intrusion in the car lights caused by XJBG in the aftermarket.
Exhaust hole blocking rib function:

Prevent rainwater from entering protected facilities
Protect the protected mechanism from being hit as much as possible, and make it difficult to fall off when hit (the height of the ribs cannot be too high, as it will cause assembly difficulties, and it cannot be too low, as too low will not serve the protective function).
Why should we have an exhaust structure together with the general requirements for exhaust structures?

An exhaust mechanism should be designed at an appropriate location in the lamp to improve heat flow exchange inside the lamp.
For exhaust pipes that do not use adhesive, they should withstand a pull-out force of 1kgf
The exhaust pipe should be easy to install, and have some protective mechanisms to prevent rainwater from directly falling, splashing, and falling off when knocked.
Selection of exhaust structure location

Locations prone to water mist
Convenient installation location
It is easy to form an air circulation position inside the lamp
